Uva ursi is used as a diuretic, urinary antiseptic for bladder and kidney infections, hemorrhoids, and womb problems. It is very good as a postpartum remedy to prevent infections.
Most research has focused on uva ursi’s urinary antiseptic component, arbutin, which typically composes 7–9% of the leaves. However, crude plant extracts are much more effective medicinally than isolated arbutin. Uva ursi is reported to be a good diuretic and especially active against E. coli.

Adults: Take 3 capsules twice daily with meals. If you are taking other medications or natural health products, take this product a few hours before or after them. Do not take with highly acidic foods (e.g. citrus fruits or juice) or medication which may acidify urine.
