Bio-Gest is ideal for individuals needing more than HCl – a blend of HCl, pepsin, pancreatin, and ox bile. Illness, gall bladder removal, overuse of antacids, and normal aging can contribute to insufficient secretion of stomach acid, pancreatic enzymes, and bile, and can adversely affect digestive enzyme activity, leading to heartburn, gas, bloating, and other symptoms of gastrointestinal discomfort. For individuals who need a broad-spectrum digestive aid, Thorne offers Bio-Gest, which contains HCl, pepsin, pancreatin, and ox bile – important for those who need support for protein and carbohydrate digestion, and fat emulsification and absorption.
Recommended Dose (Adults): Take 1-2 capsules with each meal or as recommended by a health-care practitioner. For occasional use only. Consult a health-care practitioner for use beyond 4 weeks. Do not take this product out of the capsule.
