Reishi’s fruiting body is leathery and hard to digest, making it a challenge to incorporate in culinary practices, except as a decoction for healthy drinks. However, in powder form, its robust, spicy flavour adds a certain “je ne sais quoi” when used for cooking and baking, notably for sauces, stews, dips, spreads, and beverages; or idealy steeped as a soothing, healthy tea.
